The government is making every effort to boost the number of Hungarians and promote a family-oriented and child-friendly society, cabinet chief said on Tuesday. János Lázár said in a video posted on the government website that the current low birth rate among young people is the greatest challenge as far as reforming the country is concerned.

It is estimated that in the next 15 years the number of people paying into the social funds will drop by 514,000, András Farkas said, citing a report.
