Robert Cooper holds the top position at big beer company Dreher Breweries in Hungary. Cooper joined Dreher’s parent company SABMiller (in January 2014) as the Polish subsidiary’s business transformation director, then he took over the management of Dreher Breweries on 1 July 2015.

I attended Budapest Business School where I studied Catering and Hotel Management. I started waiting tables at a Belgian pub during my university years. I immediately fell in love with Belgian beer culture and started specialising in the field.

Born & grew up in sunny South Africa. After military service I decided to join the merchant navy whilst studying engineering. I left the navy because amongst other things such as not seeing land for 2 or 3 weeks at a time, there was a severe short supply of ladies. Then while studying full time I worked as a night manager in a pub which was owned by then SAB (South African Breweries).
