The British International School, Budapest is extremely proud to present the new exciting, purpose-built extension.
The bright and spacious building adds 3000m2 to our established 6000 m2 campus. This new wing, which mainly houses the Secondary School, provides 24 new classrooms, an ICT room and coding laboratory, two additional state-of-the-art science laboratories and a Sixth Form Centre.

The courtyard of the Dreher Breweries in Budapest Kőbánya district became a festival center once again from 26th -28th August. The Hungarian National Gallery presents the first large-scale exhibition on the work of Amadeo Modigliani (1884-1920) - now on until 2 October. The exhibition features more than 80 artworks from museums and private collections all around the world.

The Festival of Folk Arts (Mesterségek Ünnepe) brings the finest Hungarian craftsmen and their work to Buda Castle from across the country. They bring a variety of different folk crafts ranging from woodcarving to egg painting. Visitors can partake in many of the activities, as well as enjoy live folk music and dance performances.
Sziget Festival Sets Record At Nearly 500,000 Visitors

The week-long Sziget Festival in Budapest attracted a record number of over 490,000 visitors this year, main organiser Károly Gerendai said on Tuesday, the event’s closing day. Final figures are not yet available but the number of visitors far exceeded last year’s record of 441,000, he added.

The most tickets for this year’s Sziget Festival were purchased from the Netherlands, followed by the United Kingdom, the festival’s press office told MTI on Saturday. Foreigners are well represented among festival-goers, who come from over 100 countries.

Hungary’s largest ever Picasso exhibition has so far attracted more than 150,000 visitors since its opening in the Budapest National Gallery in April, the museum said. Entitled “Picasso - Transfigurations, 1895-1972”, the exhibition shows some 100 paintings, drawings, sculptures and other artwork spanning the artist’s entire oeuvre of 77 years.

The exhibition 'Picasso – Changes of Shape, 1895-1972' now under way at the Hungarian National Gallery has been prolonged by one month to August 28 (apparently due to it's popularity - ed).

The exhibition displays the oeuvre of two sculptors: father and son. Almost 130 sculptures will be shown form the Cluj-born Jenő Szervátiusz and Tibor Szervátiusz in the representative sculpture-hall and adjacent rooms of the Műcsarnok to visitors.
