The Autumn Cultural Festival of the University of Szeged (SZTE) began on Wednesday 1 October, with the opening of an exhibition of nature photographs, concerts and light painting, during which three hundred, mostly free, programs await those interested in seventy locations over two months.

H.E. Mr. Justin McKenzie Smith, the United Kingdom’s new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary presented his credentials to H.E. Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary at Sándor Palace. In line with diplomatic tradition, he then laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Heroes’ Square.
