The economy ministry has launched a scheme to entice young Hungarians back home from abroad. The first round of funding totals 100 million forints (EUR 333,000) for relocating 50 young Hungarians based mainly in London, Sándor Czomba announced.

Gross Wages In Hungary Up 3.4% In February

Average gross wages in Hungary rose by an annual 3.4% to 234,367 forints (778 euros) in February. Net wages rose at the same pace to 153,511 forints, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. Hungarians took home 12,446 forints in bonuses in February, on average, 9.5% more than in the same month a year earlier.

By Christian Keszthelyi: Budapest’s annual construction fair Construma, which came to a close yesterday, attracted almost 50,000 visitors this year, according to organizer Hungexpo. The fair showcased a record number of 550 exhibitors from 15 countries in a total area of 18,000 sqm at the Hungexpo complex.

Another company is seriously disappointed politically in the Fidesz government’s neglect of Hungary’s public health care system despite promising to introduce important reforms in 2010.
