From 16 to 18 May, the delightful scent of chimney cakes will once again waft through the enchanting setting of the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, as the Kürtőskalács Vigalom (Chimney Cake Festival) returns for its spring edition.

Thirty different flavours and shapes of Hungary’s very own chimney cake or kürtőskalács are being showcased on two stages, with all kinds of gastronomic events and activities at Budapest Zoo this autumn. The tenth-anniversary Chimney Cake Festival will take place over four days between 13 and 15 October.

Much to the delight of “kürtőskalács” admirers, this season’s traditional gastronomical event will be full of surprises, with a record-breaking number of stands (30!) representing the Hungarians’ chimney-shaped delicacy in various forms and flavours.
'Budapest Oldtimer Show', Railway History Park, 13 - 15 May
