Retail sales in Hungary climbed by 4.7% in August from the same month a year earlier, preliminary data released by the Central Statistical Office on Monday show. The iconic confectionary Jégbüfé, operating since the 1950s on Ferenciek tere in downtown Budapest, will soon reopen in nearby Petõfi utca, Magyar Idõk has learnt. The shop will be somewhat smaller and will have a café and a VIP section. The walls will be decorated with pictures taken by French photographer Bruno Borel in the Jégbüfé since 1989.
