Hungary dropped to 69th place from 63rd in a new competitiveness ranking of 138 countries compiled by the World Economic Forum. Doing business in Hungary was hampered by “policy instability”, “corruption”, “tax regulations” and an “inadequately educated workforce”, the WEF said. Hungary’s overall index fell to 4.20 points on a scale of 1-7 from 4.25 a year earlier.
