In the first seven months of the year 52,235 babies were born, 352 or 0.7% more than in the same period of last year. However, the number of deaths totalled 78,709, which exceeded the figures of January-July 2014 by 5,163, or 7.0%.

There are eight states in the Carpathian Basin of 285 000 sq km with a total population of 26 million.
