The Baptist Charity has sent a team of Hungarian and US experts to help rescue work in earthquake-hit Ecuador, the charity’s Hungarian branch said. The Hungarian-led “Rescue24” team will join local teams to help with medical assistance, sanitation and adjusting temporary shelter to those in need.

Hungarian Cricket Association: We have been asked by UNICEF to do fundraising for their Nepal earthquake victims appeal. They will use the money collected to help children victims of the disaster. The HCA has committed itself to run a FRIENDLY tournament to raise funds for this charity appeal.
Baptist Charity Rescue Team Returns From Nepal With Hungarian Baby

The Baptist Charity’s five-member rescue team returned from earthquake-hit Nepal on Monday, after helping victims there for several days. Team leader László Pavelcze said after arriving at Liszt Ferenc International Airport that they had taken 18,000 euros worth of aid to Nepal where they were assisting the medical staff and providing health services to 300 people.

Ethnic Hungarian mountaineer Zsolt Török, of Arad in western Romania, is alive but stranded at Mount Everest’s base camp having lost his tent and entire equipment to an avalanche that swept across the mountain in the aftermath of the earthquake, it has been reported. Mr. Török has also lost all of his clothes except for what he was wearing at the time.
