An 8 tonne steel sculpture by renowned French contemporary artist Bernar Venet was unveiled in central Budapest. Arcs in Disorder can be viewed in March 15 Square near Elizabeth Bridge. The artist told news agency MTI at the unveiling that he originally planned to display Arcs in southern France, but decided on Budapest instead, given the “prominent” spot on offer.

“Let’s bridge” is the title of the 10th edition of the Genfest , the “celebration” of the youth. Thousands of youth from all over the world, from the most various cultures and ethnic groups, will meet together at Budapest, all moved by the same idea - not only an experience of life but also of social action: unity.

"On May 11th , 2012 at around 5:30 a.m. my younger brother Gonçalo Ferraz decided to playfully jump from the Elizabeth Bridge in Budapest into the Danube river along with a friend. His friend reached the shore safely as planned, however my 22 year old brother has been missing since.
