Public Prosecutor Peter Polt has turned to the President of the European Parliament, requesting lifting the immunity of MEP Peter Magyar, the leader of the opposition Tisza party, based on evidence that has surfaced against him in an investigation on suspicion of theft, the Public Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.

Budapest’s Szabadság (Freedom) square hosted a novel demonstration of sorts Saturday evening. Starting at 5:30 pm and lasting until 10 pm, the “We will not remain silent!” protest featured musical performances by a variety of musicians and DJs, as well as speeches by notable artists and activists. As many as 10,000 people mostly in their twenties and thirties attended.

"His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales will visit Millenáris Park to meet musicians, who will be doing a full rehearsal of the ZARE concert, due to take place on 21 March on the International Day of Anti-racism at Gödör Club. His Royal Highness will talk to ZARE musicians, organisers and volunteers as well.
