New discoveries. That’s what it is all about here...I’m a fortunate man, my Hungarian buddy Zoli keeps me updated what’s going on, on the Hungarian wine scene. When there’s something he believes I haven’t tasted, nor heard of, he makes sure I’ll get the chance. Recently he provided me with something he was pretty sure I didn’t know about. Kadarka. The best ever on the grape as he said.

November is a time to remember those who have gone before. In Hungary, Imagefamilies visit cemeteries, leave wreaths and flowers, light candles and talk about loved ones they’ve lost. For me, it’s a time to think about Hungarians whose lives were lived in the shadow of war, fascism, communism or poverty, and I am once again grateful to have grown up in peace, freedom and prosperity.

In European karaoke bars people sing in a larger hall in front of many people, Doremifa-ya in Budapest however has separate boxes to allow enthusiasts to experience how karaoke is meant to be done.
