In the first period all the buildings designed and built by Miklós Ybl were restored, as they are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ybl Miklós, the designer of this beautiful building.

Miklós Ybl was born on April 6th, 1814 in a wealthy trading family in Székesfehérvár. From 1825 he studied in the Imperial and Royal Polytechnique Institute. From 1832 he worked and studied at two famous Hungarian architects Mihály Pollack and Henrik Koch.

In the 19th century Buda and Pest showed a very different picture. Pest began to develop very fast following the historical agreement between Hungary and Austria, while in the Buda part time seemed to come to a halt.
