Hungarian Winners At The Dublin Craft Beer Cup

Twenty-three Hungarian beers were awarded at the Dublin Craft Beer Cup competition, and the grand prize was taken by a Hungarian brewery as well, turizmusonline.hu reports. The Dublin Craft Beer Cup was part of the Alltech Brews and Food Fair, held on February 23-25. 370 European brews competed at the cup, among which were 44 beers from 10 Hungarian breweries.

Updated Press Release: Due to the rainy weather, the organizers postponed the 10th Főzdefeszt to the second weekend of September at Felvonulási tér. They said, they would not like to see their favourite audience trying to sample the latest Hungarian craft-beers standing in the rain. The new date for the Főzdefeszt is 11-13 September.

Hungary’s craft-beer scene has seen an incredible growth in the last few years and still gaining speed! So has Főzdefeszt that has grown from a festival attracting 10.000 visitors to a mass-celebration with 40-50.000 people twice a year.
