The festival gives a world-renowned and rightly acclaimed young generation of Hungarian jazz performers the chance to present themselves to noted jazz experts from Europe and the United States, broadening their knowledge and, in some cases, gaining recording and concert touring opportunities.

After a gap of 32 years, she was the first woman to win a gold medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

The Eva Duda Dance Company developed into an independent ensemble during the theatrical season of 2009/2010 on the initiative of the choreographer, who earned her reputation as a freelance creative artist in various theatrical genres, including spectacular musical performances and smaller progressive dance pieces.

László Szőke finished his studies in 1978 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. A graduate of in Hydraulic Engineering he started working as a building manager at Vízügyi Építő Vállalat. From 1983 to 1984 he worked in Algeria as a project manager, building an educational centre.
