The majority of Hungarians support the government’s decision to erect a fence along Hungary’s border with Serbia, according to a recent survey conducted by think-tank Századvég. Fully 61% of Századvég’s sample of 1,000 adults agreed with implementing a temporary border closure to stem the massive inflow of illegal migrants, while 27% disagreed with the government’s plans.
