‘Verzió’ Documentary Film Festival Starts Soon

Over a hundred films from 44 countries will be screened at the 2017 “Verzió” documentary film festival from November 14 to 25 in Budapest, Szeged and Pécs. The festival opens with Zaradasht Ahmed’s “Nowhere to Hide”, winner of the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival.

1, the only festival of its kind in Hungary, has been organized on an annual basis since 2004. It aims to promote open society, democratic values, rule-of-law, freedom of expression, political and cultural pluralism, and to expose abuse and global human rights violations through creative, quality documentaries.
