The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music awarded Gyorgy Kurtag an honorary doctorate on the occasion of his 100th birthday. The world-famous composer, former student and teacher at the Academy of Music, received his honorary doctorate from the university's management.

This year’s Tour de Hongrie cycling race will take place mainly in southern Hungary from May 13 to 17. Organizers presented the route for the 47th edition in Budapest on Tuesday. The five-stage event will pass through 70 towns in seven counties, with 15 intermediate sprint points for bonus seconds and 12 categorized climbs.
