The cars had been running on the badly deteriorated M3 metro line for 40 years before being renovated.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Friday that he wanted to see the personal income tax reduced from the current 16% to below 10% by 2018. To attain this goal, the economy should grow instead of the current 2-4% by 4 to 6%, he told public Kossuth radio, adding that the latter rate is also feasible.

At the request of Skoda, the procurement arbitration court KDB has cancelled the trolley bus tender announced by the city of Budapest. The tender announcement for the purchase of 24 trolley buses specified emergency batteries only without extra diesel engines as an option. Competition for the tender was thus impacted negatively, the KDB found.
