The Buda Castle houses three key institutions, the main one is the Hungarian National Gallery - the Magyar Nemzeti Galéria to locals. After coming under the umbrella of the Museum of Fine Arts a decade or so ago, it expanded the range of its domestic collection and began to offer all kinds of guided tours, including some in English.

Was on display until 29 May. Tamás Olescher (1954-2021), Munkácsy Prize-winning painter, set designer and performer was a well-known figure and one of the organisers of the Hungarian underground art scene in the 1970s, until he moved to West Germany in the 1980s.

Hungary’s Parliament is reopening its doors to visitors on Tuesday. The Parliament Museum’s indoor and outdoor exhibitions will also be accessible to the public, Anna Sédy of the Office of the National Assembly’s Directorate for Cultural Affairs, told public news channel M1.
