Qatar Independence Day In Budapest, 8 December 2015

A colourful reception to celebrate the Independence Day of Qatar. Delicious Qatari food tastings and musical entertainment were offered to the guests. A short raffle drawing was a great fun and some people were lucky to win a round trip to Qatar for two persons.

Thanks to an excellent response, registration is now complete. 100's of Xpats are on the official guest list for XpatLoop's 15th birthday bash in Corinthia's historic ballroom, featuring plenty of refreshments and a few surprises, all adding up to make this an enjoyable and worthwhile social networking event.

Their music that loosely melts together guitar sound with electronika will be featured on their upcoming fifth album which they are going to present on their tour in Budapest too at the Barba Negra Music Club.

Fonó recently made it into 12th place among the world's top publishers of world music. So, maybe it's a bit too early qualify the recording market as DOA. There's a good chance that Hungarian folk music, dressed up just a bit differently, might become as hot on the world market as Africa or the Balkans were a few years ago.
Hungarian State Opera Celebrates 130 Years

It has been exactly 130 years since the Budapest Opera opened its gates on 27 September, 1884. The Hungarian State Opera commemorates the anniversary of the opening with crowds in period costumes, an extraordinary gala concert, the premier of a film, and the publication of a historical book.
