Full and vibrant viola sound, performance suggestiveness and perfect technical preparation – these characteristics define the stage presence of German Tabea Zimmermann, and if we were to replace viola for cello, then the same would be equally true of the musicality of István Várdai.

Bartók’s musical language is practically their mother tongue, and playing Bach’s Brandenburg concertos brings undiluted joy.
