The Sixth District, the Hungarian Artists Federation and the Hungarian State Opera will stage a free season-opening street performance on September 9. Worth noting is that Andrássy út will be closed to traffic for the performance, set to begin at 1 p.m.

The foreign ministry has summoned Hungary’s ambassador to the Netherlands to return for consultations in Budapest, Péter Szijjártó, the foreign minister, announced. Szijjártó added that there would be no ambassadorial-level communication between the two countries for an indefinite period of time.
