Hundreds of venues await visitors until late into the night in Budapest and around the country on Hungary’s Night of Museums. Most museums, cultural institutes, thermal baths, zoos, wildlife parks and botanical gardens will be open from the late afternoon on June 21 until around 1am on the next day.

The free breast cancer “screening night” held on 25 April was a success, Minister of State for Health Miklós Szócska said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday. He said that of the 6,250 women aged 45-65, 1,837 showed up at the screening and another 9,000 also took various other tests.
