Following a telephone outage between 4 and 5 April 2013 when the British Embassy was unable to receive telephone calls, we are pleased to announce that this technical issue has now been resolved. Our telephone services are now fully functional, and a full service has been resumed.

The operation of Budapest Airport has remained undisturbed by all the recent snow. Budapest Airport is making every effort to ensure that flights should be able to operate safely. However minor delays are possible on account of the obligatory de-icing procedure before departure. Therefore authorities say it may be worth departing for the airport earlier than usual.
Budapest Airport: Single Runway Operation Again During Earth Hour

As is now traditional, this year Budapest Airport is once again participating in the global environmental initiative called Earth Hour. The Hungarian capital airport will close one of its runways, switch off the related lights and reduce energy consumption in passenger circulation areas and in the nearly 300 buildings located at the airport for an hour at 8:30 p.m. on 23 March.
