Beware: Black Ice Causing Soaring Number of Accidents & Injuries in Hungary

The number of road accidents and injuries caused by people falling on the streets because of black ice has soared in the wintry conditions, the National Ambulance Service wrote on its Facebook page. The service received at least 1,000 calls for help in Budapest alone, it added.

“It is inconceivable” that Hungary could be deprived of its EU presidency in the second half of the year, Gergely Gulyás told a government press briefing. But, he added, Hungary would be “doing the European Union a favour” by providing “a uniform government, with leadership skills and experience…”
