The Hungarian foreign ministry so far knows of one Hungarian woman who was injured after a truck drove into a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, Tamás Menczer, the ministry’s spokesman, said. Menczer said the woman suffered minor injuries. French authorities have yet to give Hungary an official update on the attack’s potential Hungarian casualties, he said.

In May 2016, the number of nights spent by international tourists increased by 2.2% and the number of nights spent by domestic tourists fell by 0.4% compared to a year earlier. The gross revenues – calculated at current prices – of accommodation establishments rose by 5.1%.

The number of visitors to Hungarian baths was up 2-4% year-on-year in the first six months, Baths Association head Szabolcs Juhász told Magyar Idõk. Growth in the summer is expected to exceed 2015 levels, which were especially favourable, he added.
