Proceeds of this year’s Diplomatic Fair on November 26 will go towards supporting foundations helping children and hospitals, the head of the organiser Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB) said.
Hungary Seeks To Restore Low-Capacity Rail Links With Slovakia

Hungary’s government is committed to reopening low-capacity rail lines to Slovakia, foreign ministry state secretary Levente Magyar said on Friday. Addressing a free university of ethnic Hungarian mayors and councillors in Slovakia’s Velky Meder/Nagymegyer, he said the plan involves six existing railway lines that are currently out of operation.
Sausage Festival In Budapest, 13 - 15 October

This annual festival featuring 250 types of spiced up meat will be held at the Hungarian Railway Museum this year. As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.

"Esztergom is the birth and coronation place of the first Hungarian king, St Stephen; the city celebrated the 1000th year of its establishment in 1973. Its famous churches, its monuments and the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside make it an extremely popular tourist destination. The Maria Valeria bridge is a border crossing to Slovakia.
