Budapest will bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, in line with the declaration of intent accepted by the General Assembly of Budapest. Budapest’s Metropolitan Grand Circus may have to say goodbye to its current location – adjacent to Budapest Zoo in the city’s largest park Városliget – under current plans. According to information obtained by cink.hu, the options of rebuilding the Grand Circus’s dilapidated building and erecting a new circus in a different location will both be discussed this month by the government.
