Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings on Friday said it revised the outlook on Hungary’s ‘BBB-/A-3’ long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings to ‘positive’ from ‘stable’. Retail sales in Hungary climbed an annual 6% in May, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a second reading of data. Retail sales rose by 5.5% when adjusted for calendar year effects. The pace of retail sales growth accelerated from an unadjusted and adjusted 3.2% and 1.8%, respectively, in April. Retail sales growth in May was highest since June 2016.
