The government office of Budapest has ordered "immediate measures" after the Budapest Sports Services Centre, a non-profit company owned by the municipality of Budapest, was found to have stored ammonia haphazardly next to the City Park's ice skating rink.

Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony wrote in a Facebook post this week that the future of Sziget has become uncertain, as the festival's CEO informed him that he was forced to initiate the termination of the agreement between the capital and the long running 'Island of Freedom' festival.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way, is developing a large-scale biopic about Béla Lugosi, the Hungarian actor who became a global icon with his 1931 portrayal of Dracula.
