Although the number of guest nights spent by Chinese and Indian tourists in Hungary is on the rise, European guests remain the driving force of Hungary’s tourism sector, the head of the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants said. The retail authority MKEH has withdrawn the licence of travel agency Korzika Holidays, leaving 33 travellers stranded abroad. The company had little capital and ran into a difficult situation. The tourists will return to Hungary with the help of the agency’s guarantee deposit. Korzika could not keep up with recent changes in travelling patterns, CEO Sándor Zsila observed.
