The Gabrieli Choir's final concert before the summer break takes place on Friday 10th June at the Herminamezői Szentlélek templom (Bp., XIV., Kassai tér), starting at half past seven. There are four contrasting works on the programme - dating from the 18th to the 21st centuries - and chief of these is a joyful jazz mass: the Mass in Blue by Will Todd (1970- ).

Detained Migrants Demand Better Conditions, Faster Procedures

Migrants at a detention centre in Kiskunhalas, in south-eastern Hungary, demanded better conditions and faster procedures in a petition, local police reported. Out of the facility’s 500 inmates some 300 supported the petition, and complained about their confinement and slow bureaucracy, the police said on its website.

Secret-service reports show that George Soros is manipulating opinions in Hungary, government office chief János Lázár told the website of commercial broadcaster ATV. "There are no migrant-friendly, oppositionleaning organisations that are not financed by Soros," he said.

According to Hungarian investigative journalism portal Átlátszó.hu, the 2017 FINA World Championships to be hosted in Budapest in 2017 will cost Hungarian taxpayers at least HUF 90 billion (USD 323 million), of which HUF 52 billion (USD 192 million) is to be spent this year alone.
