The British Ambassador brought together a friendly group of expats and locals at his home last Friday 25 January for a private Burns Supper. Team XpatLoop joined-in and we've put together a gallery for you to see a few of the merry moments from this enjoyable annual event.
'Alchemists Burns Night', The Studios, 24 January

This will be the fourth year of this rather popular twist on the traditional Burns Night celebration. The kilted Beverage Overlord, Dez, likes to shake it up Alchemists-style, combining the great bard's poetry with a guided cocktail and whisky tasting, traditional food and a tailor-made set-list of Scottishness from Ian O’Sullivan and the House Band.

Long-term expat Mr. Douglas Arnott was awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the UK’s New Year’s Honours list for 2019, having served as the Chairman of the Robert Burns International Foundation in Hungary for the last five years.
