On the Day of Hungarian Culture (22 January), the Janus Pannonius Museum (JPM) in Pécs launched the “Vasarely 2026 – Pécs” jubilee season. The programme marks two milestones: the 120th anniversary of the birth of Victor Vasarely and the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Vasarely Museum in Pécs.

One of the most popular events in Pécs, the Zsolnay Light Festival, famous for its spectacular public building paintings and light painting competitions, will begin on Thursday. This time, in addition to the downtown locations, programs will also be offered in the local cultural district.

"Since 01 September 2010 people can view the Zsolnay porcelain collection of László Gyugyi American collector at the Sikorski House in the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter. The exhibition entitled the 'Golden Age of Zsolnay' displays such unique pieces that were born in the most successful period of the factory.
