• 'Valley Of Arts' Festival 2017, Kapolcs, 21 - 30 July

    Hungary’s biggest arts festival, the 27th Valley of Arts will take place between the 21st and 30th of June in Kapolcs, Vigántpetend and Taliándörögd. The ten-day long festival awaits visitors with nearly 1200 programmes and acts: concerts, theatre plays, literature sessions, communal programmes, interactive games in a number of new yards. In addition to the most famous Hungarian performers, internationally known French bands Nouvelle Vague and Deluxe, and the American Pink Martini will also be present.

    One of music's legendary bands plays in Budapest for the first time ever! From their proto-punk beginnings on the Fast Product label (also an early home to The Human League and Joy Division) to their modern-day incarnation as godfathers of punk, post-rock, goth and pretty much everything else, The Mekons remain, as Rolling Stone writer Lester Bangs put it ". . . the most revolutionary group in the history of rock 'n' roll."

  • Nouvelle Vague Concert, Kapolcs, 29 July

    The French band was founded in 2003 based on the idea of Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux - both musicians and producers. The word "Nouvelle Vague", meaning "new wave" in French, referring to the Portuguese "bossa nova".

  • Efott Festival, Lake Velence, 11 – 17 July

    When Hungarians hear the word 'EFOTT' they think of the 40 year old event’s slogen: "the biggest student party in the country". Neverthless, EFOTT is not only a student rave according to the organizers, who place emphasis on students’ cultural and sporting life as well. And it's not just aimed at student guests. For this reason, the range of daytime programmes has grown year by year, not only in number but in quality. "One of the main purposes of EFOTT, apart from great entertainment, is to help visitors get to know themselves and Hungary. That is why the event has been gaining international recognition since its beginnings in 1976."
