Underground Slam Academy, Sziget Festival, 8 August
The signature style of the Underground Slam Academy: slam poetry by heart, no reading, with the theme: “it’s high-time to set ourselves free” (In: Homeland, Attila József, poet, 1905-37, HU)

The Underground Slam Academy invites you to set ourselves free, personally and collectively from lack of curious thinking with courage of thought to question even our own questions, and the truth in our own thoughts; from our prejudices, climate changer customs, biases, anxieties, fears, fashionable mistaken commonplaces, self-pity, unreflected use of words, lack of freedom oriented understanding of conservativism, not enough cooperation between arts, sciences & politics, online dependences, political and all other supression; and empower yourself to become a slammer to articulate and understand your personal stories, ultimately achieving a sense of being self-identified, and self-liberation.

2 times 75 min, with 15 min break.

After 10 min musical intro, 3 min slams (interwoven by 30 sec hand pan improv) by an international team of performers, including 4 European champions: Marie Darah (BE), Péter Molnár (HU), Nuno Piteira (PT), Joonas Veelmaa (EST), 10 other national champions, & further wonderful slammers. The individual performances, quickly following each other (without any host talk), will become a team slam. In the end, with potential audience participation.
