Göndör László, Saul Kemack & Laboda Kornél: I Incest, Trafó Budapest, 7 October
Humor is a weapon that can easily backfire if not used consciously.

For nearly two years, László Göndör obsessively searched for the "secret of today's sophisticated sense of humor" as part of a master’s program. And after successfully defending his university thesis in May 2024, he felt the time had finally come to share the results of his research with a wider audience.

The lecture will provide insights into the ethical grey zones of transgressive humour and raise a number of moral questions about the possibilities of interpreting humour in intercultural contexts, with a special focus on its social benefits and harms.

During the evening, the audience will be treated to a scientific lecture that will give an insight into the main theories of humour and illustrate their practical application with examples.

We offer a relaxed, academic-style lecture where the audience can learn through play and acquire the analytical tools to interpret comic artworks and real-life comic situations on their own.
