As in previous years, from 1–6 September visitors can enjoy more than 250 types of beer in the heart of Belváros: craft specialties from top domestic breweries, international beers from the finest importers, and trendy food trucks. For six days, the country’s best breweries will be gathered in one location.

The festival’s aim, as before, is to further popularise Hungary’s rich beer culture and, alongside well-known brands, showcase the latest offerings from Hungarian craft breweries. Following established traditions, the organisers strive to make the event an exciting blend of quality beer, street food, and other accompanying programmes.

This is more than just a fun event: the Beer Festival on Szabadság tér happens once a year, with you, your friends, and the best beers. Come and sit under the strings of lights on a warm late-summer evening with a cold beer in hand.

Entry to the event is FREE, but to drink beer you will need to purchase a unique glass festival mug.
