Hungarian Socialists Lose Ft 700mn In State Funds
"The Socialists will have Ft 700 million less in state subsidies annually than last year, based on votes received in the first round of parliamentary elections.

The party will be eligible for Ft 776 million, about half of the Ft 1,478 million it has received in the past four years.

The biggest winners are the new parlia-mentary forces, Jobbik and Politics Can Be Different (LMP). Jobbik will receive Ft 472 mil-lion annually and LMP Ft 298 million in addition to Ft 98 million for its foundation.

Fidesz will receive over Ft 1 billion in state subsidies.

The state budget will allocate Ft 85 million to the Democratic Forum, but the Free Democrats and MIÉP will no longer receive state funds, having failed to win at least 1% of the vote."
