Sweet Production Starts At Giant Factory In Hungary

"The Ft 1 billion sweets factory jointly operated by Ed.Haas Hungary and Pez Production Europe has begun production in Jánossomorja, Győr-Moson-Sopron county. The green-field project also includes a 6,000m2 logistics centre.
“Over 2,000 tons of sweets will be made here next year,” Ed. Haas Hungária CEO Tibor Bozóki told a press conference on Friday.
The factory is able to produce around 1,000 different kinds of sweets.
Austrian sweet maker Ed.Hass set up its first Hungarian subsidiary in Hungarocandy Édesipari in Győr in 1989, and is now gradually moving its production over the border.
It will increase its payroll in Jánossomorja by 100, to 450."
