Summer Heat Alert At Sziget Festival In Budapest? No Problem
Don’t let the summer heat alert keep you from visiting Sziget! The festival is probably the safest place in the city to survive these temperatures with a lot of people looking after you. Of course there are some rules that you should follow too!

These rules are really simple but you just might not think about them. The most important thing is to drink a lot of water! You can find drinkable water at many places on the island but during the summer heat alert we will add plenty of other points for you. Where we’ll have queues naturally (like at the entrance for example) we will be handing out water for you of course and an ambulance car will be ready at the K-Bridge, just to make sure.

The second rule is simple: don’t get heated up too much. Try to avoid standing in the sun too much and especially don’t fall asleep there. Of course this would be hard for you to do because our colleagues – not just the medical crew – are prepared to wake up anybody if they see him in such a position. Many mist-gates will be placed around the festival area and in front of the main stage we will be constantly bedewing the pit.

Third advice: cover your head, your shoulders and basically every part of your body. Generally try to avoid standing in the sun.

The first aid tent is always busy in situations like this if someone wasn’t willing to give up wearing a nice dress and got sunburnt, or didn’t drink enough water and collapsed in the heat. Usually it only takes quick first aid, some water and a short rest in a chill, air-conditioned tent and the party can continue.
