Merkel Visit To Hungary “Important Message”, Says University Head

He also said that both the German embassy in Budapest and the Hungarian embassy in Berlin had recommended Andrássy University as an institute for the chancellor to visit as part of her programme in Hungary, and interpreted the gesture as a “sign of recognition”.
Following talks with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President János Áder, Merkel is scheduled to give a lecture at Andrássy University on Monday afternoon.
After the lecture, the chancellor will meet about 100 students from Hungarian universities. Andrássy University was founded in 2001, and has been supported by Germany. It currently has some 200 students from European countries.
