Székely Days, Central Market Hall Budapest, 8 - 10 September

This year it will be the seventh time that the Central Market Hall, Budapest hosts the traditional Szekely Days.Both producers from Szekely Land (Szeklerland) and consumers from Budapest are more and more interested, so the organizers emphasize quality over quantity. They introduce special, prime quality products that are not for sale in Hungarian trade or are sold only at few places but are continually required by Hungarian customers.
During the three-day autumn fair, at the stalls on the first floor of the Central Market Hall visitors can try hundreds of quality products of the best Szekely producers, such as alpine organic honey, cranberry palinka from Csik, handmade chocolate filled with Salvator’s bitter from Csiksomlyo, oxen sour cream, juices and jams made of forest fruits, aubergine cream, zakuska, Hecsedli tincture and guinea fowl pate which is the first product from Szekely Land put in for the title „Hungaricum”.
Besides Salvator’s bitter, which has gained internation prizes, and the producers of herb tea from Szekely Land, which also has international reputation, dressmakers of Szekely dresses, ceramic artists of Korond will also be introduced at our event.
