Ruling Parties Start 3-Day Session In NE Hungary
Deputies of the allied ruling Fidesz and Christian Democratic parties started a three-day meeting in Lillafüred, in northeast Hungary. The meeting began with Viktor Orbán’s assessment of the past year both as prime minister and as the leader of Fidesz.

Other topics on the agenda include security policy, measures to cut bureaucracy, education, and farmland auctions, parliamentary group leader Lajos Kósa said before the event.

He added that the meeting will address issues “of strategic importance” for the next two years, without going into further details.

On Thursday, lawmakers of the governing parties will discuss a planned constitutional amendment concerning the introduction of a “state of terrorist threat”, while on Friday the presidium and the cabinets of the two parties will meet.
