Rat Population Growing In Budapest

As part of the proposal, a drive to rid eight social care homes in Budapest of cockroaches will move ahead.
More than Ft 243 million was spent on exterminating mosquitoes, cockroaches and rats during 2012-17.
Attila Szécsi, president of the Budapest Condominiums Representatives Association, told Inforádió that while rats were not often seem in the downtown area previously, this is no longer a rare event.
“It is very hard to spot them, as these rodents prefer to hide, but the fact is that rats are here, he said.
