English-Language Kindergartens Banned In Hungary
As English is not a national language in Hungary, English-language kindergartens cannot operate, website 24 reports.

The Human Resources Ministry does not allow foreign-language kindergartens (be it English, French or Spanish) to function, the website adds.

One kindergarten was recently ordered to leave a reference to the English language out of its name and take the teaching of English out of its curriculum.

The ministry writes that “English is not considered a national language in Hungary, so kindergarten education in this language is not legal.

In the framework of ethnic pre-school education, inter alia, German, as a recognised national language, is possible”.
