Lockdown Reduces Crime In Hungary
The number of accidents and criminal acts dropped considerably in the first quarter of the year, due to the partial curfew imposed because of the coronavirus, Magyar Nemzet reports.

In January to March of this year, 2,876 traffic accidents leading to injuries occurred on public roads, down 8.4% from 3,141 in the same period of last year. The number of deadly accidents dropped by 18.9%, from 106 to 86.

Police uncovered 6,779 criminal acts from March 11, when the state of emergency was declared, and March 31, down 40.6% on the same period of 2019, when 11,421 crimes were reported.
