Hungarian Inter-City Coach Company Cancels Services Parallel To Rail
State inter-city coach company Volánbusz is cancelling most of its Budapest-Székesfehérvár and Budapest-Esztergom services from August 20, because they are parallel to rail lines.

The railway tracks linking these cities have been modernised and new Flirt trains are running on them.

State railway company MÁV, which now controls Volánbusz, said the harmonisation of state coach and rail passenger services is continuing.

A new bus terminal will be opened in Esztergom on August 20.

Local bus schedules are being harmonised with train schedules.

A new bus line between Pomáz and Esztergom via Dobogókő will be opened on weekends.
